What you may do without asking

You may:

• Browse and print: view pages and print a reasonable number of copies for personal, private or non-commercial parish use.
• Share links: link to a public page without suggesting that we endorse you or your activity.
• Quote briefly: use short attributed quotations for criticism, review, reporting or another purpose permitted by law.
• Use licensed material: reuse an item where a Creative Commons or other licence is shown, while following every condition of that licence.

What needs permission

Unless copyright law or a stated licence permits it, ask us before reproducing a substantial part of the website; republishing an article or newsletter; copying photographs, artwork, audio or video; adapting material; using content commercially; or placing files on another website, app or publication. Permission for one use does not imply permission for another.

Newsletters and service materials

You may print current newsletters or service information for personal use and reasonable distribution within the parish community. Republishing the complete file online, removing credits, altering it in a misleading way, or reusing photographs and artwork separately requires permission. Material supplied by a diocese, school, charity or author may have different terms.

Photographs, video and recordings

Copyright and privacy are separate. Permission from a person shown in a photograph does not necessarily transfer the photographer’s copyright, and a copyright licence does not remove the need to respect privacy, safeguarding and image-consent choices. See our photography and filming policy.

Scripture, liturgy, music and prayers

Bible translations, liturgical texts, hymns, musical works, prayers, artwork and recordings may belong to publishers, composers, artists or collecting societies and may be reproduced under a limited licence. A parish licence does not automatically allow visitors to copy, stream, record or republish that material. Follow the credit and licence shown with the item.

Third-party and open-source material

Third-party content remains subject to its owner’s terms even when it appears on this site. The website source code may be available under a separate open-source licence; that software licence applies only to the files it identifies and does not license the site’s branding, pastoral content, photographs, newsletters or personal information.

Request permission

Send requests to parish.ourladyofwalsingham@northamptondiocese.org. Describe the exact material, intended audience, format, territory, duration and whether the use is commercial. Do not assume permission until it has been confirmed in writing. We may need to refer you to another rights holder.

Report an infringement

If you believe material on this site infringes your rights, contact parish.ourladyofwalsingham@northamptondiocese.org with your name, the page address, identification of the protected work, the reason you believe the use is unauthorised and a safe way to contact you. We may temporarily remove material while we investigate and may ask for evidence of ownership or authority.
